Life Happens

This is guest blogger, Fran Spiegler.  I guess it’s been a while since you’ve heard anything from Allan.  Don’t worry, he will be posting soon.  We have been busy since the last post.  Enjoyed visits with our son, Julian, and and his wife, Liz, during Christmas week (December 26-December 31), then had a great time with our daughter Susan, and granddaughters La’Nyiah and Serenity the following week (January 3-8).  Then a friend from Maryland came into town to visit with his family and we had lunch with him and his 90+-year-old mother (who was just delightful).  As I have stated before, Al has fibromyalgia and the visits, though wonderful, just take a toll on him.  He is a real trooper, though, and is ready to gently take on the world again.

Among the things you will hear about soon are: his new cookbook, some new (old) writing, and an opportunity to be a part of one of the largest book festivals in the U.S.A.

In the meantime, enjoy some photos from life in the past few months!
