The Des Plaines History Center is hosting author Allan Spiegler as he presents his nonfiction book “If a Store Could Talk…The Spiegler Family Remembers”. Mr. Spiegler will discuss his family, Des Plaines history, the store and its evolution. All are welcome.
Join author Allan Spiegler on December 1, 2018, at the Veritas Academy’s Christmas Bazaar held at El Camino Baptist Church on Speedway Blvd in Tucson from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. His award winning book, “Tremors in the Cloister” and New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards finalist “Clark Street Whole Foods Baking” will be available for purchase.
Clark Street Whole Foods Baking was finalist in the 2018 New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards contest. 1,089 books were entered in this year’s awards program and 236 of those entries were selected as finalists, which were announced in September 2018. Entries came from large and small publishers from all across the country.
Upcoming Book Signing Event at Bookman’s
On Saturday, September 16, 2017, Allan Spiegler will be joining other local authors at Bookman’s, located at 6230 E. Speedway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85712. Both of his books, “Tremors in the Cloister” and “Clark Street Whole Foods Baking” will be available for purchase. The event will last from 1- 3 pm.
Allan Spiegler will be appearing at the Tucson Festival of Books on Saturday, March 11. He will be signing his award-winning book, “Tremors in the Cloister”, and his newly-released book, “Clark Street Whole Foods Baking” in two locations: the Arizona Authors Association pavilion, and at the Book Services pavilion. Stop by for samples from one of his recipes!
Allan will be discussing and signing his book, Tremors in the Cloister, at Mostly Books (6208 E. Speedway, Tucson, Arizona–phone 520-571-0110) on Saturday, November 12, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Tremors in the Cloister was named as a 2016 Arizona Literary Contest Finalist in the published nonfiction category. All category winners will be announced at the Arizona Literary Awards Gala on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at the Embassy Suites Biltmore in Phoenix.
